Distribution transformer usually refers to the power transformer operating in the distribution network with the voltage class of 10-35kV (mostly 10kV and below) (11-33kV at abroad) and the capacity of 6300KVA and below directly supplying power to the end user.
The place where the distribution transformer is installed is the substation. The distribution transformer is mainly installed on the column or in the open ground. The column installation can be divided into single pole type and double pole type.
It can be divided into single-phase distribution transformer and three-phase distribution transformer according to the number of phases. Single-phase distribution transformer has simple structure, small volume and low loss. It is mainly suitable for low-voltage distribution network with small load density.
